Intermountain Gas customers could get some relief on their bills.
The company filed to decrease monthly prices with the Idaho Public Utilities Commission.
If approved, the average residential customer would see their monthly bill drop by 19.3%, or $11.96. The average commercial customer would see a decrease of $72.88, or 24.4% per month.
Overall, this represents a $86.9 million decrease.
The reduction is a part of Intermountain Gas Company’s annual purchased gas cost adjustment (PGA) application with the PUC. The company attributes the drop in prices to a significant decrease in estimated gas commodity costs for the upcoming year.
If the PUC agrees to the request, the decrease will be effective beginning October 1.
